Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eugen Kvaternik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Higashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Higashi wants to clinch up but Kvaternik keeps it at a distance.
Kvaternik tries to clinch but Higashi moves away
and Higashi counters with a one-two to the body.
Higashi gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Higashi manages to break the clinch.
Kvaternik moves into the clinch.

Higashi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Higashi thows a huge punch but Kvaternik dodges it nicely.

Higashi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kvaternik defends it well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Kvaternik moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Kvaternik wants to get back to his feet but Higashi is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Higashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kvaternik swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Higashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Kvaternik closes the distance and pushes Higashi back into the cage.

Higashi drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kvaternik gets the underhooks and prevents it.
