Alvarez comes into the arena with Raised Fist - Words and Phrases blaring out of the sound system. Desmond Calzone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Desmond Calzone! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alvarez looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Calzone! Alvarez with good strikes from the mount here! Alvarez landing strikes from the mount and Calzone is in trouble! Alvarez controlling the position easily from mount. Alvarez unloading with bombs! Alvarez looking to finish Calzone with some ground and pound. This is bad for Calzone! Alvarez controlling from the full mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alvarez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Calzone's face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calzone chipping away with body shots but they're not going to hurt Alvarez. Alvarez is landing with some decent strikes but Calzone is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Alvarez connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Alvarez controlling the pace for now. Alvarez pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Alvarez sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Alvarez dominating with strikes here. Alvarez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Calzone can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Calzone looks gassed! Alvarez content just to control the position here. Alvarez looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Calzone swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Alvarez is in the full mount, landing strikes. Alvarez with good strikes from the mount here! Alvarez is in the full mount, landing strikes. Calzone tries to reverse the position but Alvarez maintains control. Alvarez takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Alvarez lands with some strikes. Alvarez controlling the pace for now. Alvarez is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Calzone is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Calzone flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Alvarez anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Calzone and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Alvarez slips an arm under Calzone chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Alvarez has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Alvarez is squeezing on Calzone like an anaconda would it's prey. Calzone fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
