Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maicon Snakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alas Malas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Maicon Snakes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Alas Malas! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snakes darts in and clinches Malas up against the cage. Snakes manages to break the clinch.
Snakes thuds his shin into the meat of Malas's side. Malas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Snakes as he avoids it easily. Malas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Snakes but Snakes pushes him off and we're back to square one. Malas looks gassed! Snakes closes the distance and clinches. Snakes successfully pulls guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Snakes is looking for a triangle but Malas pushes his legs off easily.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Snakes is on top in guard.
Snakes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Snakes tests Malas's chin there with a solid looking shot. Snakes moves into range and clinches up with Malas.
That's one minute gone in the round. Malas wants a takedown.
Maicon Snakes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alas Malas. Snakes stalling in the clinch.
Snakes breaks from the clinch.
Malas gets caught flat footed, as Snakes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Snakes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Snakes misses with a few strikes there.
Malas tries to keep at a distance but Snakes has taken the fight into the clinch. Snakes has hold of one of Malas's legs. Malas is fighting the takedown attempt but Snakes gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Snakes decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Malas, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Snakes counters with a shoot takedown. Malas fights it but they end up in guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Snakes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Snakes feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Snakes scoring with punches to the head and body. Malas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snakes defends well. Malas keeping moving, preventing Snakes from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Snakes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Snakes wanted to stand there but Malas had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Snakes trying to control but Malas is working from the bottom. Snakes gets to his feet. Malas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Malas shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Snakes is trying to defend but Malas finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Snakes is looking for a sweep. Malas is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maicon Snakes dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Malas tries for a takedown but Snakes circles away easily and Snakes counters with a good low kick that Malas was not able to check. Snakes shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Snakes showed some decent athleticism there. Malas looking for submissions off his back. Snakes trying to mount his opponent but Malas defends it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snakes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Malas does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Snakes is stalling here. Malas is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Snakes seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Malas has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Malas thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Snakes tries to bench press Malas off him but Malas keeps the position. Snakes regains half guard. Snakes throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Malas prevents Snakes from improving his position. Snakes works his way to full guard. Good work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Malas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Snakes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Malas, into his guard. Snakes gets to his feet. Malas looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Maicon Snakes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snakes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Malas's guard. Snakes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Snakes throws a big right hand that misses. Snakes working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Malas's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snakes wanted to stand there but Malas had control of the position. Snakes wants to stand and escape but instead Malas has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Snakes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malas defends it easily. Snakes trying to keep a closed guard but Malas is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Maicon Snakes dominated that second round. That's time! Snakes's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Malas with a poor takedown and Snakes counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Snakes looking for a takedown. Snakes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Malas uses from the top position. Snakes scores with a nice shot. Snakes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Malas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Malas drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Malas jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Malas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Snakes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Malas, into his guard. Snakes has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Snakes trying to control the position from guard on top but Malas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snakes gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Malas doesn't succeed with the takedown and Snakes counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Snakes. Snakes wants to control from the top but Malas keeps moving. Snakes wanted to stand there but Malas had control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Snakes defends well. Snakes wants to control from the top but Malas keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Malas working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Snakes. Snakes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
And that's the end of the fight! Maicon Snakes showed his dominance in that final round. Well Snakes has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
