Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker has chosen It's Amazing by Kanye West as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pete Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cain Slyker! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones misses with an uppercut. Slyker saw that one coming. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Slyker cracks Jones with a good jab. Nice shot by Slyker. Pete Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A big right from Jones misses. Slyker looks for a takedown but Jones sprawls well. Nice defenses there by Slyker. Jones throws out a loose jab but Slyker uses good head movement to avoid it. Slyker keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones. Slyker looks to land a left hand but Jones moved out of range nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
It looks like Cain Slyker has been cut. Slyker takes one to the chin there. Jones misses with a looping right. Slyker defending well as Jones loads up on a big left hand. Jones waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Slyker. Slyker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Donk. Slyker catches Jones right on the button with a cross. Slyker rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Slyker throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Jones tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Slyker is in Jones's guard. Jones tries to land a sweep but no joy. Slyker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Slyker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jones controls Slyker momentarily but Slyker frees himself. Slyker distracts Jones with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slyker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Slyker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Jones's head. Jones wants to stand up but Slyker is controlling him. Jones pulls Slyker in close to prevent any damage. Jones working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Slyker. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Slyker accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Slyker landing with the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slyker with a flurry of punches that miss. Slyker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Slyker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Slyker works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard. Slyker postures up in Jones's guard and throws a big left but Jones blocks it. Slyker throwing strikes from guard but Jones blocks nicely. Jones preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Slyker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Slyker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Slyker throws a jab but it's blocked by Jones. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slyker. Jones slips under a jab. Jones scores with a jab. Slyker acknowledges it with a nod of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A slow jab from Slyker misses its intended target. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones throws a looping overhand right but Slyker ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Good shot there by Slyker. Slyker pushing out the jab but it's not landing. A punch combination from Jones misses. The fighters circling - Slyker throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Slyker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Slyker to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Slyker throwing strikes but missing. Slyker throws and elbow that misses. Jones uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Slyker's guard. Nice move by Jones!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slyker has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slyker pulls Jones in close to his closed guard and prevents Jones from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Slyker trying to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Slyker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Cain Slyker's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Slyker needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Slyker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones lands a jab to Slyker's midsection. Slyker uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones. Slyker takes one to the chin there. Slyker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Pete Jones is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. A shot to the body from Slyker misses and Jones counters with a nice uppercut. A telegraphed right hand from Slyker misses the target. Slyker blocks a jab. Slyker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Slyker waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Slyker might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Jones defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Slyker. Slyker scores with a jab. Slyker swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Slyker misses with a shot to the body and Jones counters with an inside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Slyker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Jones slips a jab from Slyker. Slyker takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Pete Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nice cross by Jones. Slyker misses with a body shot.
Jones lands a jab. Slyker has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
Jones throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Slyker stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. A lazy left from Jones finds it's target. Jones lands the left hand. Pete Jones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Jones throws an overhand right that lands on Slyker's shoulder, as Slyker tries to avoid the shot. Jones lands with a cross.
Slyker is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Slyker moves away from the strike by Jones. Slyker is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? Slyker moves out of range as Jones strikes. Jones throws a lazy right hand but Slyker sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Slyker steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones. Cain Slyker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Slyker ducks under a wild hook from Jones. Slyker seems to have recovered his senses. Slyker looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jones throws a leg kick but Slyker sees it coming and checks it nicely. Slyker getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Jones showed his dominance in that final round. I think Slyker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
