Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 6 - 2, fighting out of London, Sim Polls!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stan Winner!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winner slips a straight right by Polls.

Polls bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Polls cracks Winner with a big right hand but Winner just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Polls has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Winner is working away from the top position though.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Stan Winner wasn't active enough on the ground.
Winner throws a head kick but Polls moves out of range.
Polls throws the left hand but Winner avoids the punch easily.
Polls tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Winner swivels and escapes.

Well Winner has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
