Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Collins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pencil Neck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Collins comes to the cage accompanied by Beginning of the End. Neck has chosen Rolling Stones - Paint it black as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Collins! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pencil Neck! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins connects with the punch. Collins lands a lovely overhand right. Neck walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Neck changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Collins looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Neck wants to lay and pray for a moment but Collins keeps working. Neck fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Collins is not content to let Neck control the position. Collins wants to control but Neck postures up. Collins on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Collins tries to get out of the position. Neck decides to stand back up. Neck steps back and let's Collins get back to his feet. Neck connects with an inside leg kick. Neck shoots in and gets a takedown into Collins's guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Neck tries to stand but Collins is controlling from the bottom. Neck preventing the sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Neck trying to control the position from guard on top but Collins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Neck tries to free his leg and advance position but Collins is retaining full guard. Neck prevents Collins from getting back to his feet. Collins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Neck walks into a left hand. Neck slips a jab from Collins. Neck shoots in for a double leg but Collins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A big right from Collins misses. Neck fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Collins avoids it really well and circles away. Dave Collins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Collins blocks a head kick by Neck.
Collins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Neck sees it coming and avoids it easily. Neck just misses with a punch to the body.
Collins keeps the fight on the outside. Neck shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Collins's guard. Collins is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Neck trying to control but Collins is working from the bottom. Collins bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Neck's guard. Neck preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Collins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Neck swivels though and keeps the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Neck is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Collins has one foot on Neck's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Neck fails with a takedown attempt. Dave Collins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pencil Neck. Collins listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Neck closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Neck breaks the clinch.

Horrible takedown by Neck or perhaps it was just good defense by Collins which made him look bad. Neck looks gassed! Neck shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Collins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Neck. Neck avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Collins looks to throw the jab but Neck is out of range. Neck moves in looking to clinch but Collins pushes him off. Collins swats away the attempt to clinch by Neck. Collins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Collins misses with a hook. Collins throws a series of strikes that have Neck backpedaling.
Collins dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Neck walks into a jab. Collins throws out a loose jab but Neck uses good head movement to avoid it. Collins shoots in for a takedown and gets it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Neck wants to control but Collins is keeping busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Collins is keen to just control but Neck is a slippery customer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Dave Collins will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!

The fighters circling - Collins throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Collins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Neck sees it coming and avoids it easily. Neck tries to close the distance and clinch but Collins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Collins misses the shot to the body. Pencil Neck is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Collins lands with a straight right. Neck didn't see that one coming. Neck is looking to clinch but Collins is avoiding it.

Neck is looking to clinch. Neck closes the distance and clinches. A short right from Neck on the inside. Neck breaks the clinch.
Collins ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Collins misses with a wild combination.
Neck tries for a takedown but Collins circles away easily and Collins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Neck won't be happy with that. Neck is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins working the body and head with strikes. Collins trying to control the action but Neck is working from the bottom. Collins landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Collins lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Neck down.
Collins is putting a hurting on Neck here, landing some big shots from side control. Collins controlling from side mount. Neck tries to control but Collins manages to take his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Collins is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Neck breaks Collins's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Neck wants to stand but Collins is controlling his posture from full guard. Neck wants to control from the top but Collins keeps moving. Neck wants to get up but he can't break Collins's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Collins controlling Neck's posture. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dave Collins. Neck gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Collins to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neck strikes from his own guard. Neck is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Dave Collins overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Collins trying to control the position from guard on top but Neck is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Neck being controlled here, momentarily. Neck working a defensive guard but Collins passes into half guard.
Neck is not content to let Collins control the position. Neck looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Collins not doing much here.

Dave Collins dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Neck moves out of range as Collins strikes. Neck looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Collins shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Neck napping and manages to drive through into side control! Collins working away. Neck is looking for a sweep. Neck is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Collins is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Collins with shots to the head and body - Neck looks very uncomfortable down there. Neck takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Neck tries to lock up and control but Collins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Collins wants to control the pace but Neck is squirming around nicely. Collins lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Collins looking to control and managing it successfully. Collins has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Collins landing shots from mount. Collins lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Neck hang on? Neck flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Neck regains half guard. Still in half guard, Collins seems content to control.

Neck is trying to stand. Pencil Neck has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Collins is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Neck can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Neck tries to hold on but Collins postures up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Collins landing strikes from the mount. Collins putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Collins showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Collins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
