Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Taka Yoshi!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Abbate on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Abbate gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Yoshi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Yoshi looking to pass the guard.
Yoshi wants to control from the top but Abbate keeps moving.
Abbate wants to sweep here but Yoshi controlling him for the moment.

Yoshi postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Abbate is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yoshi, into his guard.
Yoshi is trying to keep Abbate in close.

Abbate trying to control but Yoshi is working from the bottom.
Yoshi controls Abbate momentarily but Abbate frees himself.
Abbate trying to move into half guard but instead Yoshi has managed to sweep!

Abbate working for submissions but it's allowed Yoshi to get to half guard.
Abbate trying to hold on to Yoshi's head to control him but Yoshi postures up.
Abbate is trying to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Yoshi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Abbate tries to kick Yoshi off but Yoshi keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Yoshi with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Abbate might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Abbate is trying to stand back up but Yoshi is controlling him
Yoshi is looking to take a break and control but Abbate is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Abbate is looking to get back to is feet but Yoshi passes into side control.
Abbate is breathing heavily.
Yoshi cracks Abbate with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Yoshi has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Abbate!
Abbate is looking to improve his position but Yoshi isn't that keen on the idea.

Yoshi has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Abbate is forced to tap!
