Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Cashman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Knight! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Troy Cashman! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Knight listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Cashman looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Knight fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cashman sprawls well initially but Knight persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Knight postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cashman to stand up. Knight changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cashman looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Knight decides to stand back up. Knight scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Knight controlling the pace. Cashman trying to control here.
Knight is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Cashman! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Knight working away from the top, dropping strikes. Knight punching from mount but Cashman doing a good job of avoiding damage. Knight landing strikes from the mount and Cashman is in trouble! Cashman really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Knight is landing with some decent strikes but Cashman is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Knight is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Cashman can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Knight has hold of an arm here, looking to extend it. He's committed to the armbar attempt here! Will he get it?! Yes! Cashman is forced to tap!
