Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Laurent is fending him off so far but West persists. Nope, Laurent circles away and we're back to standing.
West ducks right into an uppercut from Laurent.
Laurent misses with a hook. West ducked under it nicely.
West tries to score a power double leg takedown but Laurent sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten West somewhat.
West shoots for a takedown but Laurent saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Tristan Laurent has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Will West.
West shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Laurent as he avoids it easily.
West wants to clinch.
Laurent rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but West moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Laurent cracks West with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! West looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Laurent finish him?
It looks like Will West has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
West looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Laurent is fending him off so far but West persists. Nope, Laurent circles away and we're back to standing.

West postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
West wants to control but Laurent is keeping him busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Laurent knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for West on the ground.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

West thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Laurent's head.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
West is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Laurent defends it well.
West looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

West is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Laurent is just riding it out for now. West eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Tristan Laurent will probably get the nod.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

West drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
West tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no West has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
West misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
