Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denisov Bad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Firpo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Denisov Bad! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Firpo! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Alan Glass and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Firpo tries a head kick but it misses.
Firpo rushes Bad and presses him up against the cage. Bad stalls. Firpo working some nice short punches in the clinch. Bad tries to work over Firpo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Firpo lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Bad or not. Firpo breaks from the clinch.
Firpo fails in his attempt to clinch. Firpo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Firpo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Firpo throws out a loose jab but Bad uses good head movement to avoid it. Bad takes the fight into the clinch. Bad drags the fight down to the ground.
Firpo throws and elbow that misses. Bad uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Firpo's guard. Nice move by Bad! Firpo has his hands on Bad's head, controlling the position. Firpo's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bad preventing the sweep. Bad advances position into side control! Bad is looking to take a break and control but Firpo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The ground and pound from Bad seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bad scoring with punches from side control. Bad stands up. Bad fails with the takedown. Firpo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Firpo connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Bad's hands. Firpo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Firpo shoots for a double leg takedown but Bad sprawls well. He's pushed Firpo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Firpo looks gassed! Bad shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Firpo but Firpo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Bad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denisov Bad. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Firpo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bad fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Firpo scores a takedown into full mount! Firpo landing strikes from the mount. Firpo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bad. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Firpo with shots to the head and body - Bad looks very uncomfortable down there. Firpo with a couple of short strikes. A nice elbow there by Firpo. Bad taking shots to the head. Firpo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bad looks a forlorn figure.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Firpo landing strikes from the mount and Bad is in trouble! Firpo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Firpo with a couple of short strikes. Firpo with the ground and pound from mount. Firpo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Firpo can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bad is looking to escape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bad tries to hold on but Firpo pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Firpo dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Firpo changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bad looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Firpo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Firpo swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bad. Firpo throws a hook to the side of Bad's head but Bad sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Denisov Bad is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Firpo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bad is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bad winds up and cracks Firpo with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bad wants to lay and pray for a moment but Firpo keeps working. Bad is working for a kimura but Firpo is defending it quite comfortably.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Firpo is trying to stand back up but Bad is controlling him
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bad is pressing down on Firpo's thigh, looking to free his foot. Firpo is holding on for now. Firpo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bad fails with a takedown attempt. Firpo with a jab. Firpo scores with a takedown into Bad's guard. Bad keeping moving, preventing Firpo from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Firpo thows a big elbow that misses. Bad is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Bad trying to keep a closed guard but Firpo is proving a slippery customer.
Firpo postures up and lands a big shot to Bad's brow. Firpo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. John Firpo has got the better of the ground game so far. Bad keeping full guard, as Firpo tries to pass. Firpo with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Firpo looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Firpo throws a head kick but Bad moves out of range.
Bad tries to clinch up. Firpo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bad sprawls well. Bad wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Firpo gets slowly back to his feet. Bad fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Firpo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Bad changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Firpo tries to avoid it but Bad manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Firpo to the ground. Firpo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denisov Bad. That's going to take a lot out of him. Firpo has managed to clinch.
Firpo lands on the inside with an uppercut. A short body shot lands from Firpo as the two fighters clinch.
Firpo can't break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Firpo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Firpo misses with a body shot.
Firpo thows a left - swing and a miss! Firpo is looking to score with low kicks. Firpo throws a right and a left that Bad avoids nicely. No joy there for Firpo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bad wants to clinch but Firpo slips to the side and Firpo counters with a one-two to the body. Bad shoots in looking for a takedown. Firpo tries to sprawl out of it but Bad keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Firpo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Bad feints and as Firpo raises his hands in defense, Bad changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Firpo wants to sweep here but Bad controlling him for the moment. Firpo trying to control the position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bad working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Bad stands up from Firpo's guard - Bad perhaps looking for a knockout. Firpo swats away the attempt to clinch by Bad. Firpo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Firpo scores with a hook. Bad tries to clinch up but Firpo circles away and keeps his distance. Bad shoots in for a takedown but Firpo shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Firpo lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Bad at a distance.
Firpo throws a front kick aimed at Bad's knee but Bad avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Firpo clinches with his opponent.
Bad is fighting off a takedown attempt but Firpo is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Bad to the mat. Bad regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Firpo chips away with some ground and pound. Bad working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Firpo. Firpo wants to stand but Bad has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Firpo postures up.
Firpo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bad has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Firpo has managed to get both his arms back between Bad's legs - danger averted. Firpo gets to his feet. Bad looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Firpo looks to land a combination but Bad avoids it well. Bad misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Firpo misses with a takedown attempt - Bad sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Firpo instigates a clinch. Bad tries to land knees in the clinch but Firpo avoids the damage to the body. Firpo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Firpo tries a low kick but Bad avoids it. Bad lands a body shot.
Firpo gets a takedown into half guard. Bad is trying to get back to full guard. It looks like Firpo is going to stand back up.
Firpo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bad does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bad moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Bad trying to keep a closed guard but Firpo is proving a slippery customer.
Firpo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Bad keeping moving, preventing Firpo from controlling successfully. Firpo might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Bad kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Bad looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
And that's the end of the fight! John Firpo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Firpo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
