Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lincoln Lynxx (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and van kevin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
kevin tries to clinch there but Lynxx circles away.
Lynxx throws a leg kick but kevin sees it coming and checks it nicely.
kevin missing with a left hand there. Lynxx was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - kevin has eaten all the pies!

Lynxx closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. kevin did well to prevent Lynxx getting side control.
Lynxx will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
kevin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lynxx escapes and gets back to his feet.
kevin throws a series of punches but Lynxx moves out of range.
kevin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Lynxx is fending him off so far but kevin persists. Nope, Lynxx circles away and we're back to standing.
kevin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lynxx manages to avoid it.
Lynxx lands a nice looking body shot.
Lynxx slaps away a takedown attempt from kevin, before circling back to the center of the mat.
kevin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lynxx counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Lincoln Lynxx has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of van kevin.
Lynxx misses with a low kick.
Lynxx misses the shot to the body.

Lynxx lands with a nice combination. kevin backs away looking to recover.

kevin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lynxx did well to prevent kevin getting side control.

Lynxx is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but kevin pulls his head out easily.
kevin looks gassed!

kevin is working for a kimura but Lynxx is defending it quite comfortably.
kevin trying to control from Lynxx's half guard. Lynxx has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Lynxx escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. kevin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lynxx is on top in guard.

Lynxx drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and kevin dives on top into guard.
kevin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Lynxx controls kevin momentarily but kevin frees himself.

kevin is sitting in close to Lynxx's body. Lynxx has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! kevin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, kevin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lynxx.
