Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Robbie Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kalib Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Balboa comes to the cage accompanied by Burning Heart. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robbie Balboa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kalib Koscheck! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Koscheck misses with a takedown attempt - Balboa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Balboa throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Balboa looks to land a combination but Koscheck avoids it well. Balboa slaps away a takedown attempt from Koscheck, before circling back to the center of the mat. Balboa motions for Koscheck to come forward. Balboa throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Koscheck showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Balboa.
Balboa lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Koscheck circles away quickly and effectively. Koscheck shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Koscheck showed some decent athleticism there. Balboa keeps control of the position for the meantime. Koscheck stalling away here and it's allowed Balboa to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koscheck throws a big right hand that misses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Koscheck accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Balboa is trying to keep Koscheck in close.
Koscheck prevents Balboa from getting back to his feet. Koscheck throwing strikes from guard but Balboa blocks nicely. Koscheckis looking to pass into half guard but Balboa pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Balboa is in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Balboa prevents Koscheck from getting back to his feet. Koscheck is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Koscheck wants to sweep here but Balboa controlling him for the moment. Koscheck bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Balboa's guard. Koscheck looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koscheck wants to control from the top but Balboa keeps moving. Balboa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Koscheck's guard. Balboa wants to stand but Koscheck has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Koscheck pulls Balboa in close to his closed guard and prevents Balboa from doing any damage or advancing position. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Balboa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Balboa is working hard here to advance position.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Kalib Koscheck. Koscheck shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Balboa sprawls well. Balboa wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Koscheck gets slowly back to his feet. Robbie Balboa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalib Koscheck. Balboa instigates a clinch. Balboa breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Koscheck shoots in but Balboa avoids the takedown attempt easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Koscheck looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Balboa is looking to stand up but Koscheck isn't so interested in that idea. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kalib Koscheck will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Balboa closes the distance and pushes Koscheck back into the cage. Balboa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Koscheck has him pressed against the cage. Balboa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Koscheck is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Balboa has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Koscheck pushes Balboa back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Koscheck leaning his opponent against the cage. Koscheck turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! An elbow from Koscheck crashes against the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round. Balboa wants to improve his position but Koscheck is controlling well.
Koscheck throws a strike but Balboa manages to get a kimura sweep and he's found himself on top with the kimura half locked in! This would be a real turnaround! He's torquing it... Will Koscheck tap??? YES! He's tapped! This one is all over!
