The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siipiratas throws a head kick but Faiz moves out of range.
Faiz shoots in but no luck this time.
Siipiratas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Faiz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Siipiratas somewhat.
Manu Siipiratas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Siipiratas bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Faiz's head.
Siipiratas scores with a one two! Faiz had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Faiz decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Faiz moves nicely into side control.
Faiz controls the position from side control.
Siipiratas prevents Faiz from improving position.
Siipiratas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Faiz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Faiz slows the pace down.
Siipiratas wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Faiz has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Siipiratas's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Siipiratas is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Faiz!
