Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gray Son (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sizzle Snappe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Snappe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The Power kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gray Son!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sizzle Snappe!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Seu Braga and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snappe closes the distance and clinches.
Snappe prevents the takedown attempt.

Snappe has Son pulled in close to control his posture.
Snappe is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Snappe looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Son trying to control but Snappe is working from the bottom.

Son forces his way into half guard.
Snappe works his way to full guard. Good work.
Son has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Son wants to control from the top but Snappe keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Snappe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Snappe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Son's head.
Son has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snappe is working away from the top position though.

Snappe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Son defends it well.
Son pushes Snappe off looking to stand but Snappe dives back in and keeps control.

Snappe thows a huge punch but Son dodges it nicely.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Son takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Son is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Snappe.

Snappe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Son manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Snappe loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Snappe postures up in Son's guard and throws a big left but Son blocks it.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Snappe shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Son's guard.

Snappe is nestled in close to Son, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Son is looking to escape.

Snappe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Son defends it well.
Snappe throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Snappe throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Snappe is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Son throws a series of punches but Snappe moves out of range.
Some bone on bone action there as Snappe checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Sizzle Snappe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Son throws a right and a left that Snappe avoids nicely.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Snappe's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Snappe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Snappe has gone for a leg lock! Son slips out almost immediately though and dives into Snappe's guard.

Snappe wants to sweep here but Son controlling him for the moment.

Sizzle Snappe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Son's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Son takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Son lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snappe circles away quickly and effectively.
Son wants to slow Snappe down by chopping away at his legs.
Snappe checks a leg kick nicely.
Son on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Snappe. Snappe obviously looking to wear him down.
Snappe throws a sloppy head kick and Son moves out of range easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Snappe will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Snappe fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Son is out of range.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Son.

and Snappe counters with a head kick. That will keep Son thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Son.
Son throws a front kick aimed at Snappe's knee but Snappe avoids it well.
Son keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Snappe shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Son as he avoids it easily.

Son fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Snappe.
Snappe takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Crunch! Son slams his shin into Snappe's torso.
Sizzle Snappe seems to be getting the better of the standup.

and Son counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Son tries to work over Snappe's front leg with a kick but Snappe checks it.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Snappe.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Son is looking to reverse the position.
Son is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Snappe is controlling him well.

Snappe works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Snappe postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Son looks a forlorn figure.
Snappe cracks Son with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Snappe lands a big elbow.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snappe throwing strikes here but Son is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Sizzle Snappe has got the better of the ground game so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well Snappe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
