Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Feer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Standa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Feer could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Simon Standa's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Feer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 19 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Standa! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Standa closes the distance and clinches. Standa is looking to break free of the clinch but Feer has double underhooks. Feer lands a nice shot to the body. Feer leaning his opponent against the cage. Feer has hold of one of Standa's legs. Standa is fighting the takedown attempt but Feer gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Feer slips nicely into half guard. Feer throwing shots but Standa is blocking nicely. Feer tries to stand but can't do so whilst Standa controls his leg. Feer seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Feer is looking to advance position but Standa won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feer takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Feer trying to mount his opponent but Standa defends it. Standa trying to control here.
Feer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Standa is trying to stand up here but Feer is controlling him well. Standa looks gassed! Feer with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Feer. Feer misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Feer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Standa as he avoids it easily. Standa connects with a good right hand that stumbles Feer. Feer circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Standa fails in his attempt to clinch. Feer tries to close the distance and clinch but Standa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fighters circling - Standa throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Feer shoots in but Standa avoids the takedown attempt easily. Standa tries to clinch up and Feer counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Feer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Standa wants to stand up but Feer is controlling him. Standa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Feer not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Feer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Standa on the ground. Standa controls Feer momentarily but Feer frees himself. Feer throwing strikes from guard but Standa blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Feer tries to stand but Standa is controlling from the bottom. Feer thows a big elbow that misses. Standa wants to sweep but no luck.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Feer shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Standa manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Feer wants to control from the top but Standa keeps moving. Standa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Feer controls the pace. Feer tries to free his leg and advance position but Standa is retaining full guard. Feer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Feer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Standa for as long as he can get away with. Standa is trying to keep Feer in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Feer dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Feer tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Standa swivels and escapes. Standa looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Feer trying to keep a closed guard but Standa is proving a slippery customer.
Standa passes Feer's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Feer slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Standa stopping the sweep attempt from Feer. Feer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Standa manages to get himself to full guard.
Standa is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Feer with a nice head shot there. Feer postures up and lands a big shot to Standa's brow. Standa keeping moving, preventing Feer from controlling successfully. Feer stops Standa from standing up. Feer sitting in guard here, content to control. Feer keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Standa's head. Feer is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Feer. Feer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Feer working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Feer lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Feer works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Feer lands a few punches from side control. Standa is letting Feer control him for a moment. Standa is trying to buck Feer off.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here as Feer stalls from top position. Standa tries to bench press Feer off him but Feer keeps the position. Standa seems a little lost for a moment, as Feer dominates the positioning.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Feer. Feer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Standa tries to avoid it but Feer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Standa to the ground. Standa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Simon Standa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Feer is trying hard to land a takedown here. Standa sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Feer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Feer moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. The fight stays on the outside here - Feer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Feer sizes up Standa with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Feer dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Feer looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Feer tries to close the distance and clinch up but Standa swats him away and circles back towards the center. Feer shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Standa tries to roll over but Feer keeps him under control. Feer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Standa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Feer. Feer doesn't succeed with the takedown and Standa counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Feer is trying to control but can't.
Feer manages to get to full guard.
Feer trying to control the position here. Standa wants to control from the top but Feer keeps moving. Feer is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Standa defends well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Feer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Standa's guard. Standa keeping moving, preventing Feer from controlling successfully. Standa trying to control the position here. Standa is trying to control the position but Feer postures up. Feer is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Feer trying to control but Standa is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Josh Feer. No luck with that takedown attempt from Feer. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josh Feer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Feer dives in and grabs Standa's left leg, looking for a takedown. Standa pushes down on Feer's head and hops out.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Josh Feer. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Feer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
