The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anello lands with a thumping leg kick.
Anello stuffs the takedown attempt from Maggro. Maggro gets slowly back to his feet.
Maggro on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Maggro moves forwards but Anello connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Maggro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maggro throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Anello's waist but Anello gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Maggro off to one side.

It looks like Vinny Maggro has been cut.
Maggro shoots in looking for a takedown but Anello manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Maggro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Maggro throws a low kick but Anello avoids it.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Maggro shoots for a double leg takedown but Anello sprawls well. He's pushed Maggro's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Maggro throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Anello.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
