Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Lytle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Smoot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lytle comes into the arena with Light's Out blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jonathan Paton and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smoot gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lytle to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lytle stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smoot swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lytle trying to control the position from guard on top but Smoot is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lytle drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smoot looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smoot looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smoot!
Lytle tries to buck Smoot off but Smoot is having none of it.
Lytle is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
Lytle tries to improve position but can't.
Lytle is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Lytle is trying to control but can't.
It looks like Smoot is going to stand back up.
Lytle wants to sweep but Smoot has passed to side control!
Smoot decides to stand back up.
Lytle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Smoot.
Smoot throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Smoot throws a solid leg kick but Lytle takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Smoot.
Lytle scores a takedown into full mount!
Lytle moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Smoot has worked his arm free - good work by Smoot!
Smoot is not content to let Lytle control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes there by Lytle.
Lytle trying to control the action but Smoot is working from the bottom.
Lytle tries for a kimura but Smoot is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lytle goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Smoot rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lytle's guard! Nice work there by Smoot!
Lytle can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Smoot controls the pace.

Lytle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Smoot defends well.
Lytle had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Smoot defends it easily.
Smoot wants to get up but he can't break Lytle's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Smoot stands and throws Lytle's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lytle looking for a sweep but Smoot has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Lytle is looking to improve his position but Smoot isn't that keen on the idea.
Lytle sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Smoot goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Lytle shoots for a takedown but Smoot saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Smoot looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Smoot tries to close the distance and clinch up but Lytle swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lytle drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Smoot trying to keep a closed guard but Lytle is proving a slippery customer.
Lytle advances to half guard.
Lytle is trying to work for a kimura but Smoot is defending well.
Lytle passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Smoot!
Lytle looking to control but Smoot is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Smoot is desperately trying to improve his position but Lytle has a good base and remains in mount.
Lytle tries to control but Smoot wriggling away.
Lytle is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Smoot has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Smoot!

Smoot must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Lytle is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Smoot rolls with it to try and escape but Lytle cranks on the arm and Smoot is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
