Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Richard Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and BJ Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes into the arena with Zemitan blaring out of the sound system. Barnes comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Black Eyed Peas - Imma Be kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! BJ Barnes is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, BJ Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Roberts and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes slips a straight right by Evans.
Barnes shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Evans as he avoids it easily.
Evans throws a jab when Barnes was well out of range.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Evans enables Barnes to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Evans manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Barnes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Evans swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Barnes is looking to work some ground and pound but Evans has wrist control.
Evans will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Evans pulls Barnes in close to prevent any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Barnes takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Evans connects with a nice looking jab.
Evans drops Barnes with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Barnes looks back up at him and smiles so Evans waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Barnes is rocked!
It looks like BJ Barnes has been cut.
Evans comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Evans punishes Barnes's body with a nice straight punch.
Barnes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Evans.
Evans jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Evans cracks Barnes with a good jab.
Barnes is still on wobbly legs! Can Evans finish him?
Evans keeps the fight on the outside.
Barnes seems to have recovered his senses.
Evans lands the left hand.
Evans cracks Barnes with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Barnes tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Evans pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Barnes is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Evans!
