Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hugo Berglund!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fargo Murphy!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Berglund throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Murphy is trying hard to land a takedown here. Berglund sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Murphy feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Berglund thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murphy postures up and lands a big shot to Berglund's brow.
Berglund looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Murphy distracts Berglund with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Murphy stands up over Berglund, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Berglund has his foot on Murphy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Murphy works his way back into a safe position though.
Berglund is looking for a triangle but Murphy pushes his legs off easily.
Berglund looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Murphy passes into half guard.

Berglund has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Murphy is working away from the top position though.
Murphy stops Berglund from getting back to his feet.
Murphy winds up and cracks Berglund with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Berglund is looking for a sweep. Murphy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Berglund actively working from the bottom here.
Berglund is trying to stand.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Murphy stops Berglund from getting back to his feet.
Berglund is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Murphy is tapping! Great win for Berglund!
