Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Night (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Night comes into the arena with Praise - Seven Dust blaring out of the sound system. White is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by "Bring Out Your Dead" by Strung Out. Frank Night could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jay White's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Night! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jay White! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Chad Campbell and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Night shoots in and gets a takedown into White's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. White looking to sweep here. No luck so far. White keeping moving, preventing Night from controlling successfully. Night slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. White pulls Night in close to his closed guard and prevents Night from doing any damage or advancing position. Night is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. White looking for a sweep. Not yet White, not yet. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. White throws a body punch but Night moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck with that takedown attempt from Night. White walks into a straight right hand from Night. White throws a series of punches but Night avoids them all with ease. White misses with a looping left. White throws a nice looking combination but Night bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice body punch from White. Jay White is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Night keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
White with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Nice sprawl there from White as Night shoots in. White throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Night sees it coming and avoids it easily. White throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
No luck for Night with that takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. White attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Night. White throws a right and a left that Night avoids nicely. White throws a shot from downtown. Night moves away and avoids it. Night checks a low kick from White. Night shoots in for a takedown but White shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Night checks a leg kick nicely. Night walks into a straight right hand from White. White wants to land a leg kick but Night is out of range. Jay White seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. White throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Night. White walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Night checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Night fails with the takedown. Night shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. White misses with a low kick. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Night displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as White throws out the jab. Night looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jay White will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Night closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. White quickly recovers to half guard. Night stops White from getting back to his feet.
Night wants to control but White is keeping him busy. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! White trying to control but Night postures up.
White slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Night works a leg free and moves into half guard. Night is looking to advance position but White won't allow it. Night is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so White is just riding it out for now. Night eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are battling for position here. White manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

White wants to stand up but Night is controlling him. Night stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard. White tries to land a sweep but no joy. Night wants to control from the top but White keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Night wants to pass the guard but White is keeping the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. White throws a hook but Night avoids it easily. White buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
White fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Night manages to avoid it. White throws a shot from downtown. Night moves away and avoids it. Night shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily. White throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Night on the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White scores with a leg kick.
White throws a hook but Night blocks it. White connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. White throws a jab when Night was well out of range. White scores with a jab to the body. Night takes a body punch but keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White throws a leg kick that misses. White throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. White scores with a jab. Night acknowledges it with a nod of the head. White cracks Night with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. White throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Night. White pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Night closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Night looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? White is fending him off so far but Night persists. Nope, White circles away and we're back to standing. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay White showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. White is looking to score with low kicks. Night checks a leg kick. The fighters circling - White throws out the jab but it was never going to land. White fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Night checks it well. Night shoots in but White avoids the takedown attempt easily. White jabs Night right on the nose. Night blinks but takes it well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Night pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circle momentarily. Night darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. White fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Night looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Night has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from White. Night gets a takedown into half guard. Night is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Night is trying to control the action in half guard but White is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. White wants to get back to full guard. White trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White is looking for a sweep. Night is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. White trying to hold on to Night's head to control him but Night postures up.
Night trying to mount his opponent but White defends it. White is not content to let Night control the position. White tries to get to full guard but Night has control of the leg. White wants to control but Night is keeping busy.
Night stops White from getting back to his feet.
Jay White has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Night is trying hard to land a takedown here. White sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Night takes one on the chin but seems OK.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White throws a nice inside leg kick. White throws a shot from downtown. Night moves away and avoids it. White misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A big right from White misses. Night ducks under a wild hook from White. Night fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Night. That's going to take a lot out of him. A big left from Night misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. White plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Night throws a looping overhand right but White ducks down to avoid it. Frank Night has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Night throws a hook but White avoids it easily. Night checks the leg kick. Jay White is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Night fails miserably with a takedown attempt. White thuds his right hand into Night's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
And that's the end of the fight! Jay White comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got White winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
