Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Cudby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ryan vader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Cudby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, ryan vader!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Cudby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
vader fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Cudby scores with a takedown into vader's guard.
vader wants to stand but Cudby is controlling the position.

vader uses the cage to get back to his feet.
vader shoots in for a takedown but Cudby shows good takedown defense.
vader tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cudby paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Cudby tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
vader misses with a takedown

so Cudby counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Mike Cudby has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ryan vader.
vader looks gassed!
vader is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cudby is controlling him.
Cudby pushes down on vader's leg and manages to get into half guard.

Cudby escapes and gets back to his feet.
A nice inside leg kick there by Cudby. That's going to slow vader down.

and vader counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Cudby is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and vader defends well.

Cudby has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but vader can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cudby is on top in guard.
vader wants to stand but Cudby is controlling the position.
vader is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Cudby dives into side control.
Cudby tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Cudby is trying to get an arm triangle but vader is defending well.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Cudby stands up and we're back to a striking position.

and Cudby finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Cudby shoots for a takedown but vader saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
vader leaves Cudby with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Cudby is defended easily by vader.
Horrible takedown by vader or perhaps it was just good defense by Cudby which made him look bad.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

vader dives in and grabs Cudby's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cudby pushes down on vader's head and hops out.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Cudby shoots in but no luck this time.
Cudby will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
vader clinches but Cudby breaks the clinch

Poor strikes thrown by Cudby there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Cudby is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. vader can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
vader is trying to stand but he's just given Cudby his back.

Cudby is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. vader is defending well though. Cudby let's go of the attempt for now.
Cudby lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can vader hold on?!

vader is looking to escape but he's done so without protecting himself and Cudby manages to counter with a nice rear naked choke! vader is in trouble and he's forced to tap!
