7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Puska! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, eki vieri! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! vieri gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Puska pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. vieri is keeping the position for now. Puska is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Puska passes vieri's left leg - he's now in half guard. vieri tries to kick Puska off but Puska keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. vieri pushes Puska off but Puska dives into side control.
Puska is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, vieri has escaped the position, nice work there. Puska is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. vieri knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Puska will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Puska wants to lay and pray for a moment but vieri keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Puska tries for a kimura but vieri is defending well. vieri wants to get back to his feet but Puska drags him back down. Puska wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by vieri, who protects the arm well. Puska throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Puska advances nicely into full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Puska controlling from mount. Puska is working for a guillotine from mount but vieri frees his head quite easily.
vieri is trying to stand up. Puska looking for a guillotine from mount but vieri is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. vieri wants to get back to his feet.
vieri looks gassed! Puska working for a guillotine from mount but vieri is in no mood to give up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. vieri squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Puska tries to control but vieri wriggling away. vieri really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Puska. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Puska is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, vieri has managed to escape the submission attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round. vieri defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Puska. vieri is in a horrible position here. Puska smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Puska is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! vieri is forced to tap! Great finish!
