Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mitch Webster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Zak Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Webster gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Anderson.

Webster manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Anderson manages to get himself to full guard.

Anderson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Let's hope that Anderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Zak Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Webster tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Anderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Anderson's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Anderson is nestled in close to Webster, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Anderson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Webster does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well Anderson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
