Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Watson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Czar Jack! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Watson throws a looping overhand right but Jack ducks down to avoid it. Watson on the wrong end of a nice jab. Jack gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Watson with a flurry of punches that miss. Watson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jack is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jack wants to stand but Watson has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jack prevents Watson from improving his position. Watson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Watson is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Jack sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack is thwarting Watson's attempts to control the position.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Jack ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Watson moves away. Jack moves out of range of the strikes. Czar Jack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Watson blocks a jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Horrible takedown by Watson or perhaps it was just good defense by Jack which made him look bad. Watson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jack swats him away and circles back towards the center. Watson looks for a takedown but Jack sprawls well. Watson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Watson somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Watson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jack takes a swing at Watson's ribcage but misses. The fighters circling - Watson throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Watson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jack's waist but Jack gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Watson off to one side. Jack stuffs the takedown. Jack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watson manages to avoid it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Czar Jack will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jack comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Watson shoots in for a double leg but Jack sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Watson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Watson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jack defends it nicely. Watson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jack bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Jack is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Watson rather than just go for the knockout. Good shot there by Jack.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Watson is defended easily by Jack. Jack throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Watson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Jack is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Jack swings for the body but Watson moves out of range.

and Jack counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Watson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Jab from Jack. Czar Jack is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This has been an exciting period of action! Jack thows a body shot but no joy. Watson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jack tries to avoid it but Watson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jack to the ground. Jack escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Czar Jack seems to be getting the better of the standup. Watson avoids the body shot from Jack.
Watson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jack wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Jack misses with a wild body shot. Watson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jack. Jack swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Jack fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Watson manages to avoid it. Watson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. A decent looking cross lands there for Jack. Jack misses with a body shot.

Jack's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Jack lunges at Watson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Watson's hand.

Watson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Watson lands with a good body shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Watson has his takedown stuffed and Jack counters with a nice body shot. Jack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jack scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Watson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jack throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Watson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jack.

Watson forces his way into half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Czar Jack. I've got Jack winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
