Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Trey Stout (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Godard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Trey Stout has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Trey Stout! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Godard! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Anthony Taglia and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stout fails with the takedown. Stout shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Godard as he avoids it easily. Godard drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stout sneaks back into half guard. Godard wants to take a breather but Stout is having none of it. Stout pushes Godard off looking to stand but Godard dives back in and keeps control.
Godard scores with a couple of good hammerfists. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stout is looking to escape. Stout taking some punishment here, with Godard in his half guard. Stout wants to improve his position but Godard is controlling well.
Godard is tying to control. Stout wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Stout is looking to improve his position.
Stout is breathing heavily. Godard looks to score some points with some ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Godard connects with a nice short shot to Stout's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Godard is tying to control. Stout wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Godard scoring with strikes to the body and head. Godard is nestled in close to Stout, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Stout is rocked! Godard working Stout over with strikes. Godard working Stout over with strikes. Oh Stout is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Godard looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Stout seems to have got his legs back now. Godard takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Godard lands a nice short elbow. Godard working the head and body with strikes. Godard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Stout with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Stout has hold of Godard's hands but Godard slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ground and pound from Godard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Godard working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stout is looking for a sweep. Godard is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Godard is nestled in close to Stout, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Stout works his way to full guard. Good work. Godard throws a big right hand that misses. Stout is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Godard wants to pass the guard but Stout is keeping the position. Stout escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Godard gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Stout not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Stout throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Godard distracts Stout with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Stout is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Stout is looking to take a break and control but Godard is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stout prevents Godard from improving his position. Nice strikes from Stout there. Stout controlling the action here. Godard desperately trying to maintain half guard. Stout stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Trey Stout seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stout uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Godard has time to react. Stout throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Godard shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Godard was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Godard scoring with strikes but Stout is staying in there. A nice elbow there by Godard. Stout is squirming around, avoiding Godard's attempts to control the action. Godard lands with some strikes. Godard is landing with some decent strikes but Stout is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Godard prevents Stout from getting the reversal. Stout wants to control but Godard is having none of it. Stout really wants to buck Godard off and get back to his feet. Stout regains half guard. Godard tries to pass the half guard into mount. Stout knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. The fighters are battling for position here. Stout manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Stout controls Godard momentarily but Godard frees himself. Stout keeping moving, preventing Godard from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Godard dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Stout instigates a clinch. Stout is pressed up against the cage. Godard has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Stout down to the mat. Stout avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Godard avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Stout swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stout gets caught flat footed, as Godard shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Eric Godard has got the better of the ground game so far. Godard advances position into side control! Stout wants to control but Godard postures up. Stout takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Godard moves into full mount! BOOM! Godard connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Stout regains half guard. Godard wants to control but Stout is keeping him busy.

It looks like Trey Stout has been cut. Godard is keen to just control but Stout is a slippery customer. Godard drops an elbow to the side of Stout's head. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Trey Stout's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Stout is staying active underneath Godard, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Stout on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Jeez, Trey Stout's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
