Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kolt Kannon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Walter Kovacs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kovacs is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: All Along the watchtower - Jimmy Hendrix. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Alyssa Summers and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kovacs takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kovacs shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kannon as he jumps to the side.
Kannon throws a nice inside leg kick.
Kannon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Kovacs tries for a takedown but Kannon sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kannon misses with a low kick.
Kovacs shoots in but Kannon avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kolt Kannon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Walter Kovacs.

Kannon stalks Kovacs and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kovacs's face. Kovacs staggers backwards, shaken.

Kannon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kovacs has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Kovacs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Kovacs would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
