Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Edkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and LJ Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbs has chosen LJ Gibbs as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that LJ Gibbs was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gibbs misses with a takedown attempt - Edkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
LJ Gibbs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gibbs gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gibbs has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Edkins avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Gibbs is working for takedown but Edkins is calmly controlling the position for now.
Tyler Edkins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of LJ Gibbs.

Gibbs jumps guard and drags Edkins to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Gibbs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Edkins defends it easily.

Edkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

We're going to have a standup here because Tyler Edkins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Edkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Gibbs. Gibbs gets slowly back to his feet.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gibbs clinches up with Edkins and pushes him back against the cage.
Gibbs is trying to drag Edkins to the mat but Edkins just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Edkins has Gibbs pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Gibbs manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
