Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cain Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Lynch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mir comes to the cage accompanied by Sub-Mission. Lynch comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Letter from a Thief-- Chevelle kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Peter Lynch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cain Mir! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Peter Lynch! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lynch needs to keep his hands up - Mir had a free shot at his head there. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mir lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lynch has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lynch and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Lynch jabs at Mir's body. Mir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lynch.
Lynch keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Mir takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Lynch steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Mir. Mir misses with an uppercut. Mir misses with an uppercut. Lynch saw that one coming. Mir misses with a body shot.
Lynch looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Lynch throws a head kick but Mir moves out of range.

Mir throws a hook to the side of Lynch's head but Lynch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Mir lands with an uppercut that bounces Lynch off the cage and back into rage. Lynch looks to land a right hand but Mir moved out of range. Lynch misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mir shoots for a takedown but Lynch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Lynch avoids a punch combination nicely.
Mir shoots in but Lynch avoids the takedown attempt easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch misses with a leg kick. Mir lets loose with a powerful body kick. Lynch will feel that in the morning. Mir looks to throw a body kick and Lynch counters with a good, hard body kick but Mir shrugs it off. Mir scores with a spinning back kick! Lynch misses with a wild body shot. Mir misses with an attempted mid kick.
Mir throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Mir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Lynch.

and Lynch makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Cain Mir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mir throws a push kick but Lynch slaps the foot to one side. Mir needs to keep his hands up - Lynch had a free shot at his head there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lynch tries to land a front kick but Mir steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Mir throws a leg kick but Lynch sees it coming and checks it nicely. Mir fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Mir lands with a shot to the body. Mir connects with a body shot. Lynch on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mir. Mir obviously looking to wear him down.
Lynch lands with a slapping head kick. Peter Lynch is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mir with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lynch looks gassed! Mir pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Mir shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Mir was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Lynch defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Mir.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mir raining down shots from the mount! Mir takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Mir unloads with some shots from mount but Lynch bucks and avoids them well.
Mir looking to finish Lynch with some ground and pound. This is bad for Lynch! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mir controlling from mount. Mir trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Mir dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A low kick from Mir misses and Lynch counters with a big head kick but Mir shrugs it off. Mir throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Lynch was covering up waiting for the punch and Mir finishes the takedown easily into guard. Lynch wants to stand but Mir is controlling the position. Mir wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving. Mir trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Mir missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Lynch avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Lynch keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully. Mir content to stall in guard here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cain Mir. Mir looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Mir is trying to control. Lynch wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lynch wants to get back to his feet.
Mir not landing any meaningful shots this time. Mir controlling the pace. Mir seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lynch does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Lynch is trying to stand up here but Mir is controlling him well. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Lynch is staying active underneath Mir, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Mir working the head and body with strikes. Mir wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lynch keeps working. Lynch has one foot on Mir's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir connects with a body shot. Lynch is breathing heavily. Mir thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Lynch if he has to take too many more of those.
Mir lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lynch circles away quickly and effectively. Mir just misses with a punch to the body.

Mir shoots in for a double leg but Lynch sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mir shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lynch pinned against the cage. Lynch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cain Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lynch throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Mir counters with a slapping leg kick. Mir misses with a hook. Lynch lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Lynch is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mir. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Mir dominated that second round. That's time! Mir's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Mir tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lynch takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mir throws an overhand right that lands on Lynch's shoulder, as Lynch tries to avoid the shot. Lynch misses with a leg kick and Mir counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lynch's guard now. Mir stops Lynch from standing up. Mir trying to control but Lynch is working from the bottom. Lynch wants to stand and escape but Mir is having none of it. Mir tries to free his leg and advance position but Lynch is retaining full guard. Mir trying to control but Lynch is working from the bottom. Mir loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mir trying to control the position from guard on top but Lynch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Cain Mir just wasn't active enough. Mir avoids a punch combination nicely.

Nice shot lands for Mir. Mir throws a lazy head kick and Lynch counters with a leg kick. Lynch throws a leg kick letting Mir counter with a right hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mir waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lynch. Lynch moves away from the strike by Mir. Mir throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lynch avoids the head kick by Mir.

A thudding body kick lands there by Lynch!
Mir lands a front kick. Lynch uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mir.

Mir bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Lynch's head. Mir shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mir showed some decent athleticism there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mir missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lynch pushes Mir off looking to stand but Mir dives back in and keeps control.
Lynch regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Mir. Mir stops Lynch from standing up. Lynch takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Mir trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mir's corner is telling him to maintain position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mir with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mir wants to control from the top but Lynch keeps moving. Lynch wants to stand and escape but Mir is having none of it. Lynch keeping moving, preventing Mir from controlling successfully.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cain Mir. Mir with a poor takedown and Lynch finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Mir throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Cain Mir is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Mir tries for a takedown but Lynch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lynch stuns Mir with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Lynch slips under a jab from Mir.
And that's the end of the fight! Cain Mir showed his dominance in that final round. Well Mir has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
