Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jarppi Huhtis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gino Carano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jarppi Huhtis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gino Carano! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huhtis lands with an uppercut that bounces Carano off the cage and back into rage.
It looks like Gino Carano has been cut. Carano uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Huhtis. Huhtis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carano as he jumps to the side. Huhtis gets a takedown into half guard. Carano is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Huhtis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Carano is trying to maintain the position but Huhtis is very close to passing his half guard. Huhtis throwing shots but Carano is blocking nicely. Huhtis scoring with strikes to the body and head. Huhtis working Carano over with strikes. Huhtis stalling. Huhtis looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Carano is rocked! Huhtis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carano is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Huhtis pulls his head out easily. Carano is still in real trouble! Can Huhtis finish him? Carano has hold of Huhtis's hands but Huhtis slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Huhtis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Carano wants to get back to full guard but Huhtis has passed into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huhtis punishing his opponent with strikes. Huhtis loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Carano scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Huhtis land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Huhtis stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jarppi Huhtis!
