Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Kraken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Helling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraken's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Battle Without Honor Or Humanity. Michael Helling has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with The Kraken's chin.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Helling! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kraken drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kraken might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Helling wants to get back to his feet but Kraken is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kraken preventing the sweep. Kraken wants to control from the top but Helling keeps moving. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Helling can do anything to dispel that myth. Kraken pushes down on Helling's leg and manages to get into half guard. Helling avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kraken. Kraken trying to control from half guard but Helling is working away. Kraken is trying to work for a kimura but Helling is defending well.
Helling wants to control but Kraken is keeping busy.
Helling is not content to let Kraken control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kraken content to control rather than advance. Kraken is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Helling doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kraken. Helling trying to control here.
Kraken not landing any meaningful shots this time. Helling wants to control but Kraken is keeping busy.
Helling is not content to let Kraken control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Well, if Kraken is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kraken working Helling over with strikes. Kraken wants to free his trapped foot but Helling is holding on for dear life with his legs. Helling really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kraken. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Helling is looking for a sweep. Kraken is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Helling blocking the ground and pound attempt from Kraken. Helling tries to roll over but Kraken keeps him under control. Kraken seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Helling does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kraken lands strikes from half guard. Kraken is looking for a kimura here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kraken connects with a nice short shot to Helling's temple. Kraken throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Kraken trying to control the action but Helling is working from the bottom. Kraken seems to be looking for submissions.
Kraken trying to control from half guard but Helling is working away. Helling is looking to escape. Kraken wants to work for an arm triangle but Helling is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Helling misses with a double jab.
Helling misses with a takedown attempt and Kraken counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kraken is looking for a kimura but Helling is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kraken to get the leverage. Kraken slips a nice elbow through Helling's hands, connecting with Helling's forehead. Kraken missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Kraken has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Kraken is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Helling is just riding it out for now. Kraken eventually gives up the hold. Kraken prevents Helling from improving his position. Helling is breathing heavily. Kraken thows a huge punch but Helling dodges it nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Helling keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Kraken seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Helling does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Kraken lands strikes from half guard. Kraken uses his free foot to push down on Helling's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Helling. Kraken looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Kraken pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kraken tries to control but Helling wriggling away. Kraken controlling the position easily from mount. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Helling is squirming around, avoiding Kraken's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kraken lands with some strikes. The Kraken overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kraken is landing with some decent strikes but Helling is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Kraken looking to control but Helling is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Helling is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Kraken raining down shots from the mount! Kraken is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Helling is forced to tap! Great finish!
