Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ramon Labayen! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Labayen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but caraan avoids it really well and circles away. Labayen throws a body kick that misses. Labayen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but caraan moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Labayen tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Labayen swinging wildly here.
Labayen tries for a takedown but caraan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. caraan is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Labayen.
It looks like cedric caraan has been cut. Labayen decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. caraan looking for submissions off his back. caraan looking for submissions off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Labayen is working for a submission of some sort.
Labayen wants to lay and pray for a moment but caraan keeps working. caraan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. caraan looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Labayen is looking for a kimura here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Labayen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. caraan doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Labayen. caraan looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. caraan is breathing heavily. caraan is staying active underneath Labayen, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Labayen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Labayen drops an elbow to the side of caraan's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Labayen is thwarting caraan's attempts to control the position. Labayen stands up from half guard. Labayen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Labayen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. caraan is looking to regain half guard here but Labayen keeps moving and retains side control. caraan on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Labayen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Labayen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. caraan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's four minutes gone in the round. caraan wants to get back to his feet. caraan takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. caraan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. caraan is refusing to be controlled, as Labayen sits in half guard. Labayen working caraan over with strikes. Labayen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Labayen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Ramon Labayen dominated that round. The cut man is working on cedric caraan's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Labayen is looking to clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Labayen moves in looking to clinch but caraan pushes him off. Labayen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Labayen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round. Labayen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for caraan! Labayen with good strikes from the mount here! Labayen has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. caraan tries to improve his position but instead Labayen has taken his back! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. caraan is keeping busy.
Labayen gets his hands free as caraan looks to control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. caraan can't escape the position.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Labayen's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Labayen really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for caraan. Ramon Labayen has got the better of the ground game so far. Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Labayen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. What can caraan do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Labayen has both hooks in and is working for a choke. caraan is in real trouble here. Labayen gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, caraan is tapping out! Labayen wins by rear naked choke!
