Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Drake Hollis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drake Hollis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Greg Williams!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Jorge Garcia and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Williams looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Left hook, right uppercut from Hollis.

Hollis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Williams to the mat! Williams manages to get full guard.
Hollis prevents Williams from getting back to his feet.
Hollis would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Hollis with a flurry of punches that miss.
Hollis trying to control the position from guard on top but Williams is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hollis trying to stand up but can't free himself from Williams's guard.
Williams is trying to control the position but Hollis postures up.
Williams working a defensive guard but Hollis passes into half guard.
Williams is pressing down on Hollis's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Hollis looking to sit in guard and control but Williams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Williams scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Hollis wants to control the position but Williams says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Hollis wants to improve his position but Williams is controlling well.
Hollis keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Hollis is looking to control Williams's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Hollis avoid being mounted?

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Hollis wants to control but Williams is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Williams passes into side control, despite Hollis's attempt to control the position.

Hollis is not content to let Williams control the position.

Williams looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Hollis is looking to regain half guard here but Williams keeps moving and retains side control.

Williams tries for a kimura but Hollis is defending well.
Williams tries to advance to mount but Hollis denies him.
Hollis is not content to let Williams control the position.

Hollis throws a series of strikes that have Williams backpedaling.
Williams tries to clinch but Hollis is having none of it.

Hollis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well.

Hollis tries to free his leg and advance position but Williams is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hollis is aware though and is defending well.

Hollis controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Williams has his foot on Hollis's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hollis works his way back into a safe position though.

Hollis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Williams is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Drake Hollis dominated that second round.
That's time! Hollis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Hollis looks to land a combination. Williams sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Williams closes the distance but Hollis moves to the side

and Hollis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Williams's guard.
Hollis wants to stand but Williams is controlling his posture from full guard.

Williams looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hollis has picked Williams up and slammed him! Williams can't keep hold of the triangle and Hollis manages to pass to side control!

Hollis stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Williams tries to clinch but Hollis moves away

and Hollis counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Hollis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hollis postures up.

Hollis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Williams is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Williams has escaped and now he's on top!
Hollis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Williams is looking to work some ground and pound but Hollis has wrist control.
Hollis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Hollis wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hollis blocks a low kick nicely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hollis is defended easily by Williams.
Hollis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Williams avoids it really well and circles away.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Hollis counters with a shoot takedown. Williams fights it but they end up in guard.

Williams looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Hollis is defending well. Williams quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Hollis has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Williams celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Greg Williams!
