The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daugherty wants to slow Massey down by chopping away at his legs.
Daugherty fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Massey sprawls well initially but Daugherty persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Massey wants to improve his position but Daugherty is controlling well.
Massey is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Daugherty's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Daugherty's back!

Daugherty manages to get his head free but now Massey has transitioned to an armbar! Daugherty grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Massey! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
