Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donny Donowitz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustav Van Der Kaap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Donny Donowitz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gustav Van Der Kaap! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donowitz throws a hook but Van Der Kaap blocks it. Van Der Kaap scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Van Der Kaap controlling the action here. Van Der Kaap decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Van Der Kaap shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Van Der Kaap showed some decent athleticism there. Van Der Kaap missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Van Der Kaap content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Donowitz is trying to stand back up but Van Der Kaap is controlling him
Van Der Kaap sitting and controlling from the half guard. Van Der Kaap looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Van Der Kaap passes into side control, despite Donowitz's attempt to control the position.
Van Der Kaap thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. You can see the frustration on Donowitz's face as Van Der Kaap controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. I looks like Van Der Kaap might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Van Der Kaap working away. Donowitz is trying to work for a sweep but Van Der Kaap has mounted him! Donowitz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Van Der Kaap on the ground. A nice elbow there by Van Der Kaap.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Der Kaap unloading with bombs! Van Der Kaap stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Donowitz pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Van Der Kaap closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Van Der Kaap decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. The fight moves into the clinch position. Donowitz tries to break free but Van Der Kaap pushes him back against the cage. Donowitz is trying to force a seperation but Van Der Kaap has the dominant position. Donowitz wants to get back to striking at distance but Van Der Kaap won't allow it.
Van Der Kaap tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Van Der Kaap has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Donowitz is trying to keep an underhook but Van Der Kaap manages to get the takedown into half guard. Van Der Kaap looks gassed! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Van Der Kaap takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Donowitz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gustav Van Der Kaap dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Van Der Kaap dodges the punch combination from Donowitz.
Donowitz moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Donowitz blocks a head kick by Van Der Kaap.
Donowitz throws a hook to the side of Van Der Kaap's head but Van Der Kaap sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Donowitz feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Van Der Kaap sprawling to the canvas! Van Der Kaap rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Donowitz finish him?!
Van Der Kaap is rocked!
It looks like Gustav Van Der Kaap has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Donowitz thows a left - swing and a miss! Van Der Kaap is still on wobbly legs! Can Donowitz finish him? Donowitz drops Van Der Kaap with a straight right hand, right on the button! Donowitz follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Donny Donowitz!
