Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Johny Blaze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diogo Farias!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blaze takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Blaze throws a sloppy head kick and Farias moves out of range easily.
Farias lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Blaze circles away quickly and effectively.
Blaze throws a body kick that misses.
Blaze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Farias throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blaze lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like Diogo Farias has been cut.
Farias feints and then cracks Blaze's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Blaze down.
Farias pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Blaze throws a sloppy head kick
and Farias counters with a good low kick that Blaze was not able to check.
Blaze throws a wild body kick that Farias sees coming a mile off.
Farias misses with a two punch combination.
Blaze blocks a jab.
Blaze pushes Farias away with a front kick.
A head kick misses from Blaze.
Blaze throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Farias.
Blaze lands a nice leg kick that just misses Farias's sensitive parts.
Farias looks gassed!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blaze lets loose with a powerful body kick. Farias will feel that in the morning.
Blaze buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Blaze lands a big head kick that sends Farias tumbling to the mat! Blaze takes a step backwards and waves Farias back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Farias is rocked!
Blaze throws a nice head kick!
Farias is still on wobbly legs! Can Blaze finish him?
Farias blocks a head kick by Blaze.
Blaze lands a brutal head kick. Farias looks out on his feet and Blaze throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
