Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sho Kasugi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mini Bard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bard comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Catching Up (NoMeansNo) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sho Kasugi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bard takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Kasugi has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bard.
Kasugi looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kasugi throws a leg kick that misses.
Kasugi pushes Bard away with a front kick.
Kasugi misses with a head kick.
Bard misses the shot to the body.
Kasugi throws a leg kick which misses Bard's front leg but catches the back leg as Bard tries to avoid it.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Kasugi. Bard shrugs it off though.

Kasugi tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kasugi throws a head kick that Bard semi-blocks.
It looks like Mini Bard has been cut.
Kasugi misses with a head kick.
Kasugi tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bard swivels and escapes.
Crunch! Kasugi slams his shin into Bard's torso.
Kasugi scores with a leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Kasugi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
That kick from Kasugi tenderised Bard's leg. Bard is trying to keep his angry face on.
Bard moves out of range of the body kick from Kasugi.

and Bard makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Bard tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kasugi avoids it.
Kasugi is trying to drag Bard to the mat but Bard just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bard wants to pass the guard but Kasugi is keeping the position.
Kasugi has control of Bard's left arm, preventing Bard from doing any damage.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Kasugi throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Bard's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Bard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kasugi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kasugi moves out of range of the body kick from Bard.
Kasugi walks into a jab.
Nice body kick there by Kasugi.
Kasugi fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bard is out of range.
Good leg kick by Kasugi there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Bard wants to clinch.
Bard shoots in for a takedown but Kasugi shows good takedown defense.
Bard throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Kasugi keeps Bard at a distance using the push kick.

Kasugi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bard is looking to chop away at Kasugi's legs.

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Kasugi - that will leave a mark!

Bard has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Kasugi.
A head kick from Kasugi lands but Bard takes it in his stride.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Kasugi throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Bard is still on wobbly legs! Can Kasugi finish him?
Kasugi pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kasugi lands an overhand right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Kasugi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Kasugi dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Bard. That did some damage!
Kasugi lands a brutal head kick. Bard looks out on his feet and Kasugi throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
