Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shoju Bayushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Gunnarsson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bayushi comes into the arena with Masta Killa blaring out of the sound system. Peter Gunnarsson has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shoju Bayushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Peter Gunnarsson! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bayushi keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gunnarsson looks to throw the jab but Bayushi is out of range. Bayushi wants to clinch up but Gunnarsson keeps it at a distance. A right-left combo lands from Bayushi. Bayushi is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gunnarsson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gunnarsson throws the left hand but Bayushi avoids the punch easily. Bayushi looks for a takedown but Gunnarsson sprawls well. Gunnarsson throws a shot to the body.
Gunnarsson misses with an uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunnarsson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bayushi misses with a takedown attempt - Gunnarsson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shoju Bayushi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gunnarsson thows a body shot but no joy. Bayushi is looking to clinch but Gunnarsson is avoiding it.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Bayushi. Bayushi ducks under a wild hook from Gunnarsson. Bayushi tries for a takedown but Gunnarsson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Bayushi shoots for a takedown but Gunnarsson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Gunnarsson missing with a left hand there. Bayushi was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Gunnarsson misses the shot to the body. A lazy left from Gunnarsson finds it's target. Gunnarsson with a jab. Bayushi throws a shot from downtown. Gunnarsson moves away and avoids it. Bayushi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gunnarsson sprawls well. Gunnarsson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bayushi gets slowly back to his feet. Gunnarsson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bayushi manages to avoid it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bayushi looks to land a combination but Gunnarsson avoids it well. Bayushi fails to land the takedown. Gunnarsson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bayushi napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bayushi wants to control but Gunnarsson postures up. Bayushi tries to buck Gunnarsson off but Gunnarsson is having none of it. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Gunnarsson decides to stand back up. Gunnarsson steps back and let's Bayushi get back to his feet. Bayushi with a poor takedown enabling Gunnarsson to counter with a crisp jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunnarsson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bayushi.
Bayushi uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gunnarsson.
Bayushi with a lazy takedown attempt and Gunnarsson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gunnarsson. Bayushi is breathing heavily. Bayushi looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gunnarsson wants to get up but he can't break Bayushi's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Gunnarsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bayushi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gunnarsson has managed to get both his arms back between Bayushi's legs - danger averted. Gunnarsson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bayushi, up you get! Gunnarsson lands with a cross. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Peter Gunnarsson dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Bayushi slips a straight right by Gunnarsson. Gunnarsson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bayushi shoots and misses and Gunnarsson counters with a lovely straight right hand! Bayushi steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gunnarsson. Gunnarsson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bayushi moves away. Gunnarsson scores with a body shot.
Bayushi slips under a jab. Shoju Bayushi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gunnarsson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Bayushi was well out of range. Poor timing from Gunnarsson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunnarsson throws a jab but it's blocked by Bayushi. Gunnarsson throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bayushi tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gunnarsson is in Bayushi's guard. Bayushi looking to control.
Gunnarsson wants to stand but Bayushi has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Bayushi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Gunnarsson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Bayushi's closed guard. He's half up but Bayushi has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Bayushi pivots and extends the arm, Gunnarsson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Bayushi! Well done that man!
