The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jimmy fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dalena manages to avoid it.
dalena looks to land a right hand but Jimmy moved out of range.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jimmy. dalena does a little dance to reset his feet.
dalena swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
A punch combination from dalena misses.
Jimmy bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
dalena is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Jimmy advances to full mount.
dalena is desperately trying to improve his position but Jimmy has a good base and remains in mount.
Jimmy with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
dalena wants to hold on but Jimmy pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
dalena tries to reverse the position but Jimmy maintains control.
Jimmy landing strikes from the mount.
It looks like mag dalena has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jimmy lands with some strikes.
The cut above mag dalena's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jimmy postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have dalena in real trouble here! The ref calls for dalena to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
