Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Viet Cong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Kemmerling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cong comes to the cage accompanied by I Want War. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viet Cong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandon Kemmerling! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cong throws the left hand but Kemmerling avoids the punch easily. Cong showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Kemmerling.
Cong feints and then cracks Kemmerling's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kemmerling down. Cong keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kemmerling fails to land the takedown. Kemmerling shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Kemmerling wants to control from the top but Cong keeps moving. Kemmerling throws and elbow that misses. Cong uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kemmerling's guard. Nice move by Cong! Kemmerling has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kemmerling tries to land a sweep but no joy. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kemmerling is on top in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kemmerling throws a big right hand that misses. Cong avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Kemmerling loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kemmerling throws a strike but Cong rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Cong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kemmerling is keeping the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kemmerling bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cong's guard. Kemmerling lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kemmerling throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Kemmerling with a nice head shot there. Kemmerling missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kemmerling loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cong wants to sweep here but Kemmerling controlling him for the moment. Kemmerling looking to sit in guard and control but Cong gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kemmerling manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cong manages to get himself to full guard.
Kemmerling tries to free his leg and advance position but Cong is retaining full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cong is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kemmerling thows a big elbow that misses. Cong preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kemmerling postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Kemmerling postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brandon Kemmerling dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Both fighters working to control the clinch. Cong throws a punch but it's blocked by Kemmerling. Cong stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. A frustrated look appears on Kemmerling's face as he tries to break the clinch. Cong lands a left hand.
Cong scores with a hook to the body. Cong makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. A right hand to the body from Cong.

Cong is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kemmerling is breathing heavily. Cong connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Kemmerling 's head but he takes it in his stride. Cong moves in looking to clinch but Kemmerling pushes him off. Kemmerling throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cong's waist but Cong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kemmerling off to one side. Viet Cong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Kemmerling. Cong scores with a head kick.
Kemmerling is rocked! Cong throws an overhand right that drops Kemmerling like a sack of potatoes! Cong dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Viet Cong!
