Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eino Juutilainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juutilainen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Spencer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Juutilainen somewhat.
Juutilainen on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Spencer slips under a jab from Juutilainen.
Juutilainen shoots in looking for a takedown. Spencer tries to sprawl out of it but Juutilainen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Spencer manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Juutilainen dives in and grabs Spencer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Spencer pushes down on Juutilainen's head and hops out.
Mark Spencer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eino Juutilainen.

Spencer swats away the attempt to clinch by Juutilainen.
Juutilainen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spencer but Spencer pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Juutilainen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Spencer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Mark Spencer.
Juutilainen tries to clinch there but Spencer circles away.

Juutilainen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Juutilainen lands in his opponent's guard.

Juutilainen avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Spencer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Juutilainen is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Juutilainen throws and elbow that misses. Spencer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Juutilainen's guard. Nice move by Spencer!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Spencer drops back looking for a leg! Juutilainen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Juutilainen manages to kick Spencer off! Spencer jumps back into Juutilainen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Juutilainen seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Juutilainen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spencer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
