The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karpushev has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Alexander Karpushev has been cut.
Karpushev shoots in and bounces Kovalenko off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kovalenko pushes Karpushev off and scrambles back to his feet.

Kovalenko lands a hook that stumbles Karpushev back into the cage. Kovalenko follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Karpushev to the canvas! Kovalenko pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Karpushev has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
