The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twarowski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Twarowski is taking a breather. Mueller says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Twarowski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mueller has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Twarowski has managed to get both his arms back between Mueller's legs - danger averted.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Twarowski postures up in Mueller's guard and throws a big left but Mueller blocks it.
Twarowski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mueller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mueller wants to stand up but Twarowski is controlling him.

Twarowski might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mueller kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Twarowski has gone for a leg lock! Mueller slips out almost immediately though and dives into Twarowski's guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Twarowski connects with a nice short shot to Mueller's temple.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Twarowski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Mueller has worked his arm free - good work by Mueller!
Mueller is pushing Twarowski's head away, looking to escape. Twarowski manages to hold on to the position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Twarowski advances nicely into full mount.
Mueller tries to lock up and control but Twarowski gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Twarowski has control of Mueller's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mueller regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Twarowski jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mueller is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mueller and Twarowski has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
