Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between John Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dmonray Malapitan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dmonray Malapitan!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Franklyn Lucas and Chad Campbell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Some wild striking there from Malapitan.
Malapitan lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Jones swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Malapitan counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Malapitan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Malapitan tightens his grip and picks Jones up, before dumping him to the ground. Jones manages to land in guard.
Jones wants to stand up but Malapitan is controlling him.

Malapitan looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Jones with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Malapitan is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Malapitan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Malapitan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jones keeps working.
Malapitan throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Malapitan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Malapitan eventually gives up the hold.

Malapitan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Malapitan.

Malapitan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jones does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Malapitan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Malapitan seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Malapitan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Malapitan off to one side.
No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Malapitan shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Malapitan showed some decent athleticism there.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Malapitan is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Malapitan throws a strike but Jones rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Jones would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Malapitan is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Malapitan bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jones's guard.
Malapitan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jones works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Jones is looking to stand up but Malapitan isn't so interested in that idea.

Dmonray Malapitan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Malapitan avoids it really well and circles away.
Malapitan shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Malapitan is trying to control the position but Jones postures up.
Malapitan has a closed guard, preventing Jones from standing up.
Malapitan manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Malapitan has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Jones's face.
Malapitan wants to control the pace but Jones is squirming around nicely.
Jones is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Jones is in a horrible position here. Malapitan smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Malapitan lands a big shot there that rocks Jones but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Well Malapitan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
