Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Felix Leiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesper Rush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rush is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Tom Sawyer - Rush. The key to victory for Felix Leiter has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix Leiter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesper Rush! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rush keeps the fight on the outside. Rush looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Leiter has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rush can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Rush drops back, looking for a kneebar! Leiter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Leiter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Leiter! Leiter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Rush is looking to regain half guard here but Leiter keeps moving and retains side control. Leiter tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Leiter has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leiter wants to control but Rush is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leiter throwing strikes but Rush manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Rush tries for a kimura but Leiter is defending well. Rush trying to control the position but Leiter is working away. Leiter looking for a sweep but Rush has passed into full mount! Oh no! Rush postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Leiter looks a forlorn figure.
Rush prevents Leiter from getting the reversal. Leiter tries to control Rush's body but Rush pushes him off. Leiter squirms to his side and now Rush has his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rush keeps control of the position as Leiter tries to break free.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Rush controlling the positon. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Rush lands punches and elbows. Leiter tries to escape the position.
Leiter defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Rush's arms. Rush controlling well, preventing Leiter from escaping the position.
Rush working for the choke. Leiter turns into Rush and is now in his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leiter postures up.
Leiter gets to his feet - Rush follows without any prompting. Leiter tries to clinch up but Rush circles away and keeps his distance. Rush circles away from the clinch attempt.
Leiter is looking to clinch but Rush is avoiding it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Rush lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Leiter has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Leiter and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Leiter tries to clinch there but Rush circles away.
Rush takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Rush bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Rush looks gassed! Rush prevents Leiter from escaping the position. Rush regains half guard. Leiter is keen to just control but Rush is a slippery customer. Rush gets back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rush controls Leiter momentarily but Leiter frees himself. Leiter drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rush manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Leiter has Rush in his guard. Rush slips nicely into half guard. Leiter is looking to improve his position.
Rush is working for a kimura but Leiter is defending it quite comfortably.
Leiter tries to get to full guard but Rush has control of the leg. Leiter regains full guard. Nicely done. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesper Rush dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Leiter wants to clinch up but Rush keeps it at a distance. Rush swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A clash of legs there as Leiter blocks the low kick. Leiter stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Rush. Rush throws a leg kick but Leiter moved away. Leiter misses with a leg kick and Rush counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Leiter! Leiter tries to hold on but Rush postures up. Rush forces the positional change into back control. Rush has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. Rush is breathing heavily. I really don't envy Leiter right now.
Rush looking for the RNC. Jesper Rush has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leiter turns into Rush and is now in his guard.
Leiter trying to control the position from guard on top but Rush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rush keeping full guard, as Leiter tries to pass. Rush trying to keep a closed guard but Leiter is proving a slippery customer.
Leiter lands a couple of elbows. Rush not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leiter trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Leiter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Rush counters with a nice double leg into side control. Leiter won't be happy with that.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leiter is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Rush's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Leiter is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Rush pulls his head out easily. Leiter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Leiter tries to kick Rush off but Rush keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Leiter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rush is working for a kimura but Leiter is defending it quite comfortably.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Leiter is looking to clinch. Rush swings for the body but Leiter moves out of range.
Leiter looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rush is fending him off so far but Leiter persists. Nope, Rush circles away and we're back to standing. Rush lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Leiter tries to clinch and Rush counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Leiter tries to get to full guard but Rush has control of the leg. Rush takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Rush trying to control the action but Leiter is working from the bottom. Rush prevents Leiter from improving his position. Rush has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rush controlling from mount. Rush prevents Leiter from getting the reversal. Rush controlling the position easily from mount. Rush can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Leiter is looking to escape. Rush with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Jesper Rush showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Leiter tries to clinch but fails miserably and Rush counters with a single leg into guard. Leiter didn't expect that. Leiter tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rush forces his way into half guard. Rush lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Leiter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Rush has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Leiter is squirming around, avoiding Rush's attempts to control the action. Leiter is trying desperately to improve position. Rush wants to control the pace but Leiter is squirming around nicely. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rush controlling his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leiter is trying to reverse the position but instead Rush has taken his back - oops! Rush is hanging on to Leiter's back as he tries to escape.
Rush lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Leiter showing good submission defense here.
Leiter breaks Rush's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Rush is looking for a triangle but Leiter pushes his legs off easily.
Leiter trying to control but Rush is working from the bottom. Rush manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Leiter manages to get himself to full guard.
Rush distracts Leiter with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leiter preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rush showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Rush trying to control but Leiter is working from the bottom. Rush is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Leiter wants to sweep here but Rush controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rush looking to pass the guard. Leiter keeping moving, preventing Rush from controlling successfully.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Leiter tries to clinch up and Rush counters with a lovely shot to the body. Leiter closes the distance but Rush moves to the side and Rush counters with a takedown into side control. Rush controlling the position from side mount. Leiter regains half guard. Leiter tries to get to full guard but Rush has control of the leg. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Rush connects with a nice short shot to Leiter's temple.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leiter looking for a guillotine here but Rush defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight! Jesper Rush comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rush has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
