Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alex Richter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rami Aziz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Aziz is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roy Jones Jr. - Can´t be Touched. Aziz has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Alex Richter had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Richter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rami Aziz! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Richter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Aziz's guard. Aziz looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Richter with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Richter won't allow Aziz to sweep him here. Aziz can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Richter controls the pace. Richter decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Richter moves in looking to clinch but Aziz pushes him off. Richter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Richter tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Richter decides to stand up, so the ref orders Aziz to his feet. Aziz moves out of range of the body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richter scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Richter clinches. Richter breaks the clinch.
Richter gets a takedown into half guard. Richter content to control rather than advance. Richter tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Richter wants to pass the guard but Aziz is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Richter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Aziz looks like he's trying to stand up.
Richter sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aziz is not content to let Richter control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Alex Richter just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Richter drives through and clinches with Aziz against the cage.
Aziz jumps into guard, dragging Richter to the mat.
Richter pushing down on Aziz's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Richter works his way into full mount! Richter avoids the attempt from Aziz to control. Aziz is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Richter landing strikes, looking to finish! Aziz wants to control but Richter is having none of it. Richter controlling the position easily from mount. Richter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A nice elbow there by Richter. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alex Richter dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Aziz blocks a head kick by Richter.
Richter darts in and clinches Aziz up against the cage. Richter lands a body shot. Richter jumps guard.
Richter pulls Aziz in to control the position. Richter has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Aziz doesn't defend quickly enough and Richter has managed to lock this one up! Can Aziz escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Richter on a fantastic submission victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Alex Richter!
