Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Severn drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Severn thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barrera keeping moving, preventing Severn from controlling successfully.
Barrera lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Severn!
Barrera has hold of Severn's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Severn manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Severn is looking to get to half guard.
Severn tries to hold on but Barrera pushes him away.
Barrera is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Severn is surviving well by controlling Barrera's body position as best he can.

Severn wants to improve his position but Barrera is controlling well.

Barrera wants to free his trapped foot but Severn is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Barrera is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Severn is just riding it out for now. Barrera eventually gives up the hold.

Severn has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
Barrera is trying to stick to Severn's back but Severn is turning into Barrera. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Barrera's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Severn.

Barrera wants to sweep here but Severn controlling him for the moment.
Barrera manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Severn manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Severn holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Barrera wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Severn, who protects the arm well.

Severn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Severn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Barrera defends it well.

Barrera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Severn doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Barrera is tightening it up a little... Severn has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Severn reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Severn taps out! nice BJJ there by Barrera!
