Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anatoliy Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Himura closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Smith tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Himura wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy.

Himura stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Himura doesn't seem phased though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Himura's calf.
Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Himura moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Himura swats away the attempt to clinch by Smith.

Smith tries to clinch but Himura is having none of it.

Smith bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Himura shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Smith pinned against the cage. Smith gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Smith throws a right and a left that both miss.

and Himura counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard.
Smith is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Himura would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Smith has control of Himura's left arm, preventing Himura from doing any damage.

Himura not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Himura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Himura.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Smith fails in his attempt to clinch.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Smith tightens his grip and picks Himura up, before dumping him to the ground. Himura manages to land in guard.

Himura pushes a forearm under Smith's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Smith is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
