PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kajetan Krawczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoshi Kajiwara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krawczyk's entrance music is Eis - Teraz albo nigdy. A fine choice. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kajetan Krawczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoshi Kajiwara!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kajiwara misses the shot to the body.
Krawczyk tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kajiwara swivels and escapes.

Kajiwara shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Krawczyk manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Krawczyk will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kajiwara tries to free his leg and advance position but Krawczyk is retaining full guard.
Krawczyk controls Kajiwara momentarily but Kajiwara frees himself.

Kajiwara has gone for a leg lock! Krawczyk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kajiwara's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kajiwara really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krawczyk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kajiwara controls Krawczyk momentarily but Krawczyk frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kajiwara has control of Krawczyk's left arm, preventing Krawczyk from doing any damage.
Krawczyk really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Kajiwara shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kajiwara showed some decent athleticism there.

Krawczyk is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kajiwara is controlling him.

Krawczyk working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kajiwara doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kajiwara manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Krawczyk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Kajiwara counters with a single leg into guard. Krawczyk didn't expect that.

Krawczyk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Kajiwara counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kajiwara.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kajiwara throws a big right hand that misses.

Krawczyk looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kajiwara controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Krawczyk wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kajiwara passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Krawczyk is trying to improve his position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Krawczyk is squirming around, avoiding Kajiwara's attempts to control the action.
Krawczyk tries to hold on but Kajiwara pushes him away.
The referee warns Krawczyk that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Kajiwara lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Krawczyk hang on?

Kajiwara is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Krawczyk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Kajiwara's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kajiwara jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Krawczyk is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Krawczyk and Kajiwara has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Kajiwara looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Krawczyk is avoiding damage well.
Kajiwara working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Krawczyk gets back to half guard.

Kajiwara is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Krawczyk defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Satoshi Kajiwara showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kajiwara is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Krawczyk can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Kajiwara goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Krawczyk turns into him and now he's in Kajiwara's guard.
Krawczyk wants to stand and escape but instead Kajiwara has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Satoshi Kajiwara comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kajiwara has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
