The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis missing with a left hand there. Bob was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Davis has taken the fight to the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Davis - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Bob is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Davis pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Davis has Bob pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Bob manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Davis prevents Bob from breaking the clinch.
Davis tightens his grip and picks Bob up, before dumping him to the ground. Bob manages to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis stays in close to Bob's body and controls the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Bob tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davis was well out of range. Poor timing from Bob.

Bob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Davis moves away.

Davis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bob prevents it.

Bob swats away the attempt to clinch by Davis.

and Davis counters with a one-two to the body.
Davis tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bob swivels and escapes.

and Davis counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Bob!

Davis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bob is looking to escape.
Davis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Davis thowing shots but they're missing.
Davis cracks Bob with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Davis tries to control but Bob wriggling away.
Davis throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Davis looking to ground and pound but Bob is blocking nicely.
Davis misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Davis misses with a jab, cross combination.
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bob circles away.
Davis rushes Bob and presses him up against the cage.
Bob tries for a takedown but Davis manages to get underhooks.
Bob wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Bob is trying to break the clinch but Davis has him pressed against the cage.
Davis manages to pull guard.
Davis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bob looking to sit in guard and control but Davis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Davis wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.

Davis cracks Bob with a solid left hand.
That has opened up Big Bob's cut even more.

Davis is looking to work some ground and pound but Bob has wrist control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Davis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Davis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Davis is in close to Bob's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bob is breathing heavily.
Davis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bob keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
Bob really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Davis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Davis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Davis is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bob avoids the body shot from Davis.
Davis changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Davis manages to pull guard.

Davis tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
Davis looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Davis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bob manages to get himself to full guard.
Bob keeping moving, preventing Davis from controlling successfully.
Bob utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Bob takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
The cut above Big Bob's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Davis pushes Bob up against the cage in a clinch.
Bob is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Davis gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Dave Davis overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Davis uses his free foot to push down on Bob's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bob.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Big Bob's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
