Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryo Kanzaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Werner Arber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryo Kanzaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Werner Arber!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Lou da Vinci and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanzaki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Arber's waist but Arber gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kanzaki off to one side.
Ryo Kanzaki seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arber swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Kanzaki.

Arber gets tackled into the cage by Kanzaki. Kanzaki maintains the clinch.

Kanzaki jumps guard and drags Arber to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kanzaki looking for a sweep. Not yet Kanzaki, not yet.
Arber postures up in Kanzaki's guard and throws a big left but Kanzaki blocks it.
Arber looking to pass the guard.
Arber throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Arber missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Arber looking to pass the guard.

Arber is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Kanzaki preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Arber slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Werner Arber.

Kanzaki is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Arber's half guard.
Arber gets full guard.
Arber has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kanzaki wants to control from the top but Arber keeps moving.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kanzaki trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Arber pulls Kanzaki in close to prevent any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Arber is on top in guard.

Kanzaki not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Arber is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Werner Arber.

Kanzaki scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Kanzaki knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Arber on the ground.
Arber sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Arber gets full guard.
Kanzaki being controlled here momentarily.

Kanzaki drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Arber dives on top into guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Arber is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Arber gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Arber looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Kanzaki is breathing heavily.
Arber controls from within his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Werner Arber dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kanzaki circles away from the clinch attempt.

Arber scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Well, if Arber is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kanzaki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kanzaki.
Arber looking to pass the guard.
Arber wants to control from the top but Kanzaki keeps moving.

Arber is looking to work some ground and pound but Kanzaki has wrist control.
Arber looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Werner Arber was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Arber fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kanzaki connects with a jab.

Kanzaki scores with a takedown into Arber's guard.

Arber has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Kanzaki should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Arber has tightened it up now! Kanzaki should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
